Before that I served in the Army, interned at NASA JPL, and mapped brain regions at the Broad Institute. On weekends I fly medical transport for Angel Flight West.

Leading a team of ~5 engineers on the Video Gisting & Short Form platform in the Applied Machine Learning group.

Microsoft AI — Software Engineer · Aug 2022–Feb 2025

Built and shipped the Copilot settings experience in C++ across backend and frontend. Owned large-scale Azure data pipelines processing 40TB+ daily for Copilot, Edge, and Windows — cut end-to-end latency from 72 to 24 hours, accelerating experimentation across the org. Reduced annual cloud spend by $240K through infrastructure optimization.

Founded a software company shipping 10 products across web, iOS, and AI/ML. Highlights: Shredders (real-time powder tracker, 53 resorts, 90 API routes), SPACEc (Stanford-published Python library for imaging analysis, PyPI + bioRxiv), and SmartSpender (3-stage AI financial pipeline, 13 AWS Lambdas).
